What we do
Support local authorities to plan, deliver and report climate action: technical guidance, shared tools, training, funding navigation and regional coordination.

The CAROs
The Climate Action Regional Offices work with every local authority in Ireland on mitigation, adaptation and just transition — regionally grounded, nationally consistent.
Support local authorities to plan, deliver and report climate action: technical guidance, shared tools, training, funding navigation and regional coordination.
The CAROs were established to give every local authority access to regional climate expertise, with a lead authority hosting each office on behalf of its region.
Each office is hosted by a lead local authority and works to national climate policy, with regional steering arrangements across the constituent authorities.
ProvenanceStructural descriptions only. Official CARO mission, background and governance wording will be imported verbatim from the Authority’s approved content — marked TENDER_CLARIFICATION_OR_POST_AWARD_DISCOVERY until supplied.
